COVID-19

Following updated advice from the government on preventing the spread of COVID-19, we have taken the sad decision to postpone The Jester and Crown Cocktail Sessions until further notice. We apologise for any disappointment and inconvenience caused, however as we’re sure you understand the health and wellbeing of our guests and staff is our highest priority. As you may know we have a number of events planned throughout the year. We will continue to follow advice from the Government and Public Health England on whether they can go ahead, and you will be notified about all the events you are booked onto if anything changes.

Bath Bomb Fizz

Our nod to Valentine's Day goes to the Parlement of Foules (1382 - by English poet Geoffrey Chaucer). This was recorded as the first association of Valentine's Day with romantic love. Chaucer wrote: "For this was on St. Valentine's Day, when every bird cometh there to choose his mate". This poem was written to honour the first anniversary of the engagement of King Richard II of England to Anne of Bohemia. A treaty providing for a marriage was signed on May 2, 1381.

A romance between molecular mixology and love for flavour. The Bath Bomb Fizz is the equivalent of taking a bubble bath with the person you most desire and a bottle of sparkling wine. We have chosen Silent Pool Rose expression for the complexion of the gentle notes.

Ipanema

A nod to the host of world biggest street party, Rio de Janeiro is no stranger to let it loose and welcome the world to its flamboyant Carnaval do Rio . A tradition that is dating back to the 17th century, at the elaborate feast were organised to give honour to the Greek wine god, Dyonysus. Influenced by African roots, Samba music was introduced in 1917 and now for 2 days the best Samba Schools battled each other non stop to the delights of King Momo , the Queen and Princess of this spectacular show.

After long hours of performing to the entire planet what best than soaking your feet in the Atlantic coast of Ipanema beach and enjoy this delicious drink made with Capucana Cachaca shaken with strawberry and poured over ice on a rocks glass.

This winter, Lodge d’Argent returns to the rooftops of London restaurant Coq d’Argent, creating a magical winter wonderland offering specially curated list of winter warmer cocktails by Angel De Sousa in collaboration with Hennessy Cognac.  Ingredients

2 Dashes Walnut Bitters

South Place's Easter cocktail idea!

Here's a cracking Easter cocktail from the folks at South Place Hotel: We know it's Easter, but we're going to try and avoid any unnecessary egg puns. Which will be hard when we're giving you a cocktail recipe served with an egg shell resting on egg white froth. But we digress – the Fluffy Tail is one of a few dynamite Easter cocktails created by South Place Hotel's head bartenders Angel de Sousa and Roland Varga, and we're teaching you to make two of them at home. Ingredients
40ml Johnnie Walker Black Label
10ml Madalena Port 25ml Lemon Juice
15ml Simple Syrup
1 Egg White
